Leavers Destinations

At Eagle House, our Year 8 pupils transition to a variety of top independent senior schools.

The teaching staff at Eagle House have extensive knowledge of a great number of senior schools and a deep understanding of each pupil’s strengths and talents. This enables our team to support parents with the decision of choosing the right senior school that will enable their child to thrive and flourish.

All parents receive expert guidance on potential senior schools and both the Headmaster and Deputy Head meet with every parent to discuss the best options for their child.

The majority of senior schools are now using ISEB pre-test assessment in Year 6 for their selection process for places in Year 9. Eagle House prepares pupils for this pre-test in Years 5 and 6.

Parents happy boarding experience

Parents happy with academic progress

Pupils in Year 7 and 8 follow Curriculum 200 or Academic Scholarship exams. Curriculum 200 has replaced Common Entrance and furnishes senior schools with a whole plethora of data collected over a pupil’s Years 7 & 8 journey. This means that meaningful information allows senior schools to accurately assess and place children who arrive in Year 9.

We prepare our Year 8 pupils for a variety of Scholarships which include:

  • Academic
  • All-rounder
  • Art
  • Drama
  • Music
  • Sport
