Supervised Prep takes place for Years 6-8 every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 5.25 and 6.00. On Wednesday children do their prep at home except boarders who have a supervised prep. In Year 8, pupils are set a second prep (confusingly called 'Third Prep' for nostalgic, historic reasons!) which is done at home or supervised in the boarding house. the 3rd Prep has equal status with school prep and should normally be 30 minutes of written work which may include some learning. In Year 8 3rd Prep is a 30 minutes written piece of work, no different from school preps except that it is done at home or in the boarding house; vocab learning should be set in addition Year 8 RS and General will be set 3 times per term during Michaelmas and Lent Year 7 Geography/History/RS weekly prep should alternate on a 5 week cycle (H-G-H-G-RS) and be set at the start of the week for completion by the end of the week There is no Prep at school for Year 5, but this is a suggested schedule for learning tasks to be completed at home
