Digital Learning

Eagle House School is very passionate about digital learning and empowering our pupils to be digitally confident and competent in a rapidly changing technological world.

In order for pupils to flourish in their learning, we use the learning platform Google For Education with all our children and they all have access to Chromebooks for lessons. Our pupils in Years 5-8 purchase their own device enabling them to learn how to manage it and decide when technology should be used in class appropriately.

Google Classroom is used across the whole of the school, with a bigger focus on the platform Seesaw up to Year 4 and the use of iPads in the Early Years. All pupils in Years 1-8 have a Digital Learning lesson which focuses on teaching the children skills in computer science, information technology and digital literacy. Digital skills are also effectively integrated across the curriculum, giving pupils the opportunity to use technology to enhance their skills and become independent and creative learners. As part of our activities programme, we also run a range of extra-curricular clubs, such as Coding Club, Tech Club and Eagle House TV, allowing our pupils to play and experiment with new technologies.

Technology keeps evolving rapidly and we try to adapt to these changes so that pupils can constructively use technology to enhance their learning experience.
