There are two libraries within the school. The Pre-Prep has its own library with approximately 2000 books in it. The Junior Library situated on the upper floor of the Wootton Building has a collection of over 6000 books and audio books. There is an open-door policy for borrowers who are free to use it for browsing, research or quiet work from breakfast until bed time.
Both the non-fiction and fiction sections are very well-stocked and kept up to date with regular additions of new publications. The non-fiction section supports all areas of the curriculum and the fiction section contains both classic and modern books.
The reference section includes a good selection of dictionaries and encyclopedias.
The library provides a place for pupils to read or study independently, with an area for relaxed reading together with the facility to allow full class teaching. It is run by a part-time librarian.
All pupils and staff can search for relevant material using the Junior Librarian computerised library management system. This information can also be accessed from any PC on the link below.
