Alex Rider
Mad about Alex Rider? This site contains details of Alex Rider's life, MI6 security briefings about his missions, classified dossiers on criminals and other personnel, and access to highly confidential gadget blueprints. There is also access to downloadable materials for your use in the field.
Artzone
A great site from the BBC Online containing Visual poems, audio poetry, poet-in-residence, and a poetry message board. Here's your chance to swap writing tips, recommend great poems, track down a half-remembered favourite or anything else that springs to mind. Bookbox
This Channel 4 website is aimed at encouraging 9 to 13 year-olds to read. It provides information on 40 popular writers of children's classics along with interviews, games and activities. There is also a writing toolkit to aid creative writing. Authors featured include Roald Dahl, Jamila Gavin, Anthony Horowitz, Terry Jones, Beverley Naidoo, Terry Prachett, Philip Pullman and J. K. Rowling.
