Thursday 10th November - Match 1 vs. Cranleigh Result - Eagle House 10 - 25 Cranleigh (Tries: Ben Wayman, Federico Anderson) This was an encouraging start to the season for the boys, despite the result. For many it was there first experience of "contact" Rugby but this did not show as all the boys showed great desire and commitment to work hard and tackle. We looked very good with the ball in hand and if we improve our support play I am sure we will create more opportunities to score tries. The boys should be pleased and proud of their efforts this afternoon, I certainly was. Squad: Timmy Zhang, Federico Anderson, Charlie Wilkins, Alexander Crosby, Joshua Jackson, Jack Rigg, Hugo Williamson, Jasper Kelly, Harry Hodge, Barnaby Evershed, Barnaby Britz, Max Small, Benjamin Wayman, Charlie Dunn, Oliver Vine Saturday 3rd December - vs Highfield Result Eagle House 10 - 45 Highfield (Tries: Joshua Bingham) Both teams played well throughout the game. Eagle House's defence was solid for the first five minutes of the game but Highfield were able to maintain the pressure and break the defence line to score some quick tries. Eagle House kept the pressure on the opposition with strong tackles coming in from Alex Crosby and Federico Anderson. Just before the half time whistle Joshua Bingham went on a surging run and managed to get the ball down for a try. Half time score Eagle House 5 - 20 Highfield The second half started well for Eagles House again with more solid tackles going in from all the team, and good clearing out of the ruck. As the game went on teams started to tire and Highfield managed to run in five more tries in the half. But Eagle House were to get the final say with another well worked try scored by Joshua Bingham. It was a great effort by all members of the team and they should taken many positives from the game.
