Match One v Cranleigh Wednesday 19th November Lost 60 - 30 Played: James Erridge, Cameron Forkes, Joseph Golightly, Theo Izzat, Ketak Chaudhari, Alex Heddon, Joshua Hyttenrauch, Tharoonan Moodley, Conrad Orleans-Lindsay, Christopher Thomas and Christopher Vonchek Our B Team took to the field for our first game of the season, playing Cranleigh. From the first pass, it was clear that Cranleigh would be a difficult team to contain with their good running lines and their close support of the ball carrier. We were struggling to maintain our defensive line with some eager chasers and as a result, they scored 7 tries before halftime. However, there was a visible lift in our confidence as we stared to run at them when we had the ball with Joseph and Conrad running in some superb individual tries. As the game went on, we put together some good passages of play making the most of the 6 tags and whilst the score line is heavily in their favour, I have to say, we kept at it! Everyone in Year 3 had a run and I am confident that we will take a great deal from this match. Thank you to Cranleigh for giving us a good game, training sessions will focus on defensive work and supporting the ball carrier.
