U8 Rounders Team Concentration in the field! Wednesday 6th JuneU8 v Oratory - Lost 9.5 to 7.5It was a very close game between the two teams. Pippa and Caitlyn both worked hard with the bowling. Tho Oratory were very good at hitting the ball and therefore were more lilely to score half rounders. Wednesday 23rd MayU8 v St Neot's - Won 16.5 - 9The girls all showed a huge amount of improvement this week. They were more focused and alert, scoring many half rounders at 2nd base. Caitlyn and Lucy did a great job with the bowling and Chloe and Pippa were excellent on 4th and 2nd base. Tami produced an excellent throw from the field which enabled Pippa to put a girl out at 2nd base. Special mention also goes to Lucy for scoring the most rounders over both innings. Well done and keep it up! Wednesday 16th MayU8 v Yateley Manor- Coaching GameThis match was kept as a coaching game this week. The girls were allowed to join the back of the line if they were out and had a chance of practising their skills. Lucy strived hard with her bowling and Caitlyn improved her throwing during the game. Wednesday 9th MayU8 v The Dolphin - Lost 12.5 - 11All the girls played very well on the damp grass and in the drizzle. They showed great improvement from 2 weeks ago and the match was very close. Caitlyn and Chloe both scored full rounders. Wednesday 25th AprilU8 v St Andrew's Pangbourne - Lost 8.5 - 7This match was very much a coaching game for the U8 girls. The first innings was not scored and no one was 'out'. In the second innings the girls played to the rules and did very well to score 7 rounders only losing at the end by one and a half rounders.
