Wednesday 4th May Eagle House v Yateley Manor Lost 15 - 10 Fielder of the Game: Miriam Batter of the Game: Cressida
Even though you didn't win this match, your fielding was very impressive. This was down to your focus and concentration on the game and being prepared to move and cover different positions. Sasha, your bowling was great - a real achievement not to give away any half rounders! The batting was slightly less successful this week, although I must mention Cressida who scored 4 whole rounders - fantastic big hits, well done! Several half rounders were carelessly lost by running on to third post rather than waiting at second. You know that unless you have a good chance of getting to fourth post that this is totally pointless and yet you continue to do it... PLEASE DON'T! There was plenty of determination and flashes of very promising skill on display today and I have high hopes for the rest of the season if you keep it up.

Wednesday 18th May Eagle House v Lord Wandsworth Lost 9 - 17 Fielder of the Game: Alice Batter of the Game: Miriam In contrast to our match against Yately Manor, this was rather disappointing. Where had your focus gone? Your lack of concentration on the game was a problem and reflected in the final score. There were flashes of good fielding - Miriam your bowling stood out for me in particular, and Sasha you were still looking to play where you were needed rather than sticking to the spot which is great. There were plenty of careless mistakes - all of which were down to the lack of determination and concentration. You are capable of much better play than this! On a positive note the batting was much better this week and several of you scored. I hope to see a return of the drive I witnessed in week one next week along with some of the more sccurate hitting that I saw this week. Let's make it a win!
