Eagle House School
Netball Under 13 Team 'Blog'

Wednesday 6th December

U13 v Yateley Manor (Lost 20-10)

As the Yateley team walked onto the All-weather it was clear that this was a match between a team of giants and an Eagle House team from Lilliput!  Sophie came up to the waste of her opponent!  We had many highs and lows as the match progressed but I think that on the whole, particularly in the second half, the Eagle House team played some of their best netball this season.  Jemima writes –

‘Although we lost it was a really good match.  Frankie and Thehela swapped positions at half time and both played very well.  The Yateley Manor team voted Frankie and Sophie joint ‘men of the match’ which was fantastic for Sophie as she is an U11 playing in an U13 team…who were very tall!!

'Well done to all the girls for a good season where they have learnt a lot and have been excellent ambassadors for the school.

Wednesday 15th November

U13 Netball V Dolphin B (won 16-8)

Report written by Jemima Compton

Today the U13 team had an excellent game against Dolphin.  We won easily.  The Dolphin School voted Frankie (GA, GD & Captain) player of the match.  There were some great shots from Thehela, Katherine and Frankie and lots of goals were going in from the edge of the circle.  Well done to everyone and let’s win the next one.

Wednesday 8th November

U13 Netball V Lambrooke-Haileybury (Lost 24-12)

Report written by Jemima Compton

The team played very well against tough opposition.  We lost but it didn’t matter because it was a good game and we had fun playing.  Miss Palmer commented how focused Frankie (GD & GA) and myself (C) were on the game, concentrating throughout.  Katherine (GS) and Thehela (GA) scored 6 goals in the first three quarters and Frankie scored 6 in the last quater.

Wednesday 1st November

U13 Netball V Holme Grange won 3-1

Although they were a little slow to get going with a match so soon after half term, the Eagle House girls played very well at times.  They moved the ball quickly across the centre court but sometimes had trouble feeding the ball into the circle.  The team was led well by their captain Frankie who played with great determination.  Well done to Thehela who was chosen by the opposition as woman of the match.

Wednesday 20th September
