Wednesday 5th November v White House Won 8 - 4
Quarter time scores: 2-1, 4-2, 8-3, 8-4
Player of the Match: Menna Braithwaite
Coach's player: Beth Cowan/Lucy Erridge
This was a closely fought and even game up to half-time with the score only 4-2. Entering the second half the spectators witnessed brilliant accuracy from Goal Shooter Beth when every shot taken went in, building up a lead of five goals. Lucy Erridge played a very composed and controlled game at Goal Keeper and took a few interceptions to promote an attack.
A good game girls but we need to work on loopy balls down the court!
Wednesday 15th October v St. Piran's Lost 3 - 4
Player of the Match: Menna Braithwaite
Coach's Player: Chantal Humphreys
We were unlucky to loose by one, the defence were suberb and complimented by the opposition coach. Chantal produced some brilliant interceptions, whilst Milly kept the centre court flow calm and collected when entering the attacking third. Menna played superbly at GD with Chantal with Aanya captaining the side from her defending position.
Overall another great performance from a versatile team with both Lucys coming on and playing with confidence.
Unlucky but well done!
Wednesday 8th October v Hawley Place & Edgeborough Won 9 - 3 & Won 6 - 2
Player of the Match: Sophia Wallis & Bethany Cowan
Coach's player: Sophia Wallis & Llana Cooper
Firstly well done to Eagle House on two well fought games. After half-time against Hawley Place Eagle House were drawing 2-2 but went into the second half with a lot determination and finished the game 9 - 3 up. Some accurate shooting from Beth and Laura.
After their winning start in the first game, Eagle House went into their second game versus Edgeborough guns blazing! Eagle House had a 6 - 0 lead at half-time, Edgeborough came out strongly after their halftime talk but could only manage two goals against our defence.
Well played to all girls; substitutions showed that the team are a versatile, determined and strong unit that easily worked together for two great wins; well done girls!
Wednesday 1st October v Highfield Lost 3-8
Quater time scores: 1: 0-3 2: 1-5 3: 2-7 3: 3-8
A highly contested game from the start saw Highfield gain an early lead, leaving Eagle House to always play catch-up. Eagle House had to defend hard although the few attacking breaks they had resulted in goals. The game was fought hard in the centre court by Sophia who deserved to be chosen as Eagle House player of the match.
Player of the match: Sophia Wallis
Wednesday 17th September v Cranleigh Lost 13 – 5
Quarter time scores :- 1: 0 -2 2: 0 – 6 3: 4 – 10 4: 5 - 13
This was a very tough match for the Under 11B’s against a skilful Cranleigh side. The opposition were taller and stronger with very accurate shooters. In the first half Eagle House did not manage to convert any attempts at goal due to fierce defending and Cranleigh’s desire to gain the ball from the rebound. After a motivational talk at half-time the team managed to pull together scoring four goals in the third quarter. This was a real team effort with the shooters showing off their skills with some lovely goals due to good movement in and around the circle. The centre court players were exhausted from marking their players so closely.
There were some good skills on display but stronger passes and moving into the spaces are two areas that need to be worked upon.
Well done everyone!
Opposition Player of Match Sophia Wallis
Coaches Player Lucy Erridge
