Saturday 9th February V Cranleigh U11A Won 6-0 U11B Won 3-0 Romy 1, Steffie 2 Player's woman of the match - Yuna A great game on a beautifully warm and sunny afternoon. Romy was the first to get herself on to the score sheet with a tenacious goal half way through the first half. Eagle House threatened to score another soon after but missed the goal by centimeters! The play from both teams was a little lack luster at times and the ball needed to pushed out to the wings more in order to create space. However, the Eagle House girls demonstrated some excellent stick work. Yuna was solid in defence making some great clearances. A new tactic of keeping Steffie in the opposition's D paid off in the second half and led to her scoring the final two goals. Well done, girls! An excellent result but still lots to work on. Saturday 2nd February V Hall Grove U11A Won 4-0 Wednesday 30th January V St Piran's U11A won 5-0 U11B Lost 4-1 Wednesday 23rd January V Dolphin U11A Won 4-0 Under 11 B Won 4-1 Player of the match: Alys Whitehead What a way to start the season! Eagle house showed effort from the beginning of the match right through to the final whistle. The first half had a slow start but once the first goal was scored sprites were lifted and the girls got in to the game. There were some excellent saves from goal keeper, Jaya, and some superb defending from Yuna, who would find space with every hit out. In the second half our attackers really pushed forwards showing skillful and accurate passes. A big well done to Rosie, Steph and Alys, whose passing created many goal scoring opportunities. There are many things that we can take away from this match and we will be working on our defensive positioning and our shooting accuracy over the coming weeks. A big well done to the girls and I hope that they continue to play this well through out the season. I would like to say thank you to the parents who came to support, to Miss Ross for coaching and driving the mini bus and finally to Charlotte Whitehead for proving transport for the girls.
