vAldro (Home)
Won 10 - 0
10 - 0 and it should have been more!. A fixture error left us playing Adro Colts C and although spirited they lacked skill and organisation and this was no contest. We did not play well in the first half squandering chances, giving the ball away and playing with little team work. Reece put us ahead after 5 minutes quickly followed by an own goal from a well delivered Thomas Cracknell corner. Further goals by Toby Barnard and Luke saw us lead 4 - 0 at half time.
In the second half we started to control the ball better, passing it around and looking like a team that could play. We created more opportunities with some incisive passing utilising the space out wide. More goals followed from Nathaniel, Reece, Tom and Isaac and two from Toby to complete his hat-trick. Final score 10- 0. Patrick had little to do in goal and the defence coped easily with the occasional Aldro breakaway. Man of the Match Alex Wilkinson playing at left back was the only player in the first half playing with any composure and lookig to pass accurately and not give the ball away.

v Daneshill (Home)
Won 7 - 0
A comfortable victory and an opportunity to try and play some good passing football. Isaac dominated mid-field with some good dribbling and passing skills which gave everyone the chance to find space and move the ball around the pitch. At times we did this well, especially down the left wing through Alex and Hamza. Olllie worked hard up front and supported by Luke and Reeece we eventually turned possession into goals. We showed that if we are more dynamic and work hard in the penalty area chances come and scoring is easy. If we sit back and wait for the ball nothing happens. To quote Isaac 'You can either wait for it to happen or make it happen'. In the first half Reece, Luke, Ollie and Hamza all made it happen and we led 4 - 0 at half-time.
In the second half we continued to dominate possession but Daneshill defended stoutly and it was 15minutes before the next goal went in agian scored by Reece. Tom added another from the penalty spot when Ollie was brought down and then Isaac got the goal his hard work deserved to make the final score 7-0.
We defended well and it was good to see Tom and Patrick showing more composure on the ball. If we are to improve again I think we can play the game at a faster pace and compete with a little more aggression and urgency. Well done

v Cranleigh (Away)
Draw 2 - 2
An enjoyable start to the season in the mud at Cranleigh. Overall it was a good team performance and 2-2 was a fair result at the end. We looked well organised, holding our positions well which allowed the game to flow from end to end. Both teams defended well but Cranleigh loooked more threating in the penalty area. We dominated the middle of the field which gave us more of the possession but we failed to take our opportunities to turn pressure into goals.
Confusion in our defence let Cranleigh in for an early lead but we fought back well and should have equalised . Oliver Cook hit the bar and Mohammed Rubbani hit the post, Isaac Herring missed 2 good opportunities to shoot in the 6 yard box. The score at half-time 1 - 0 to Cranleigh. We started the second half well dominating possession and eventually the equalizer came. Some good skill by Isaac to beat 2 players, his shot was saved by the goalkeeper but Luke Orechoff was on hand to hit the ball into the net. We could have gone on to win but Cranleigh who always looked threating on the break sped down the right wing, crossed well William looked to have the ball covered before a defender stuck out his foot and deflected the ball into his own net and Cranleigh led again 2 -1.
Time was runing out and we pushed forward. Isaac again did well outside the penalty area and the ball broke free to Nathaniel Hatch-Johnson, who looked off-side, but thumped it into the net. A bit of luck but we'll take it. The game ended 2 -2 giving us much to build on for our next match .
