Wednesday 2nd February v Cranleigh (Away) Lost 0-5 The Eagles started the match playing up hill against a strong Cranleigh side and the match was always going to be difficult. The first chance, however, fell to the Eagles where Morgan Edwards had a shot on goal after a terrific dribble from Borja Eizaguirre. After five minutes Cranleigh took the lead and they went on to control the half taking a 4-0 lead into the second half. After conceding another goal straight after half time the Eagles began to find a better shape and attitude being lead by Patrick Davies who produced a fine display. A number of good opportunities fell to the Eagles and on another day we would have scored. A solid display from Ben Confortola in goal meant that we gave Cranleigh a more competitive match. |
