U8 -U12 Gala vs St Andrew's (Pangbourne)

Tuesday 8th June 2010

This meeting was held at St Andrews in their outdoor 25m pool.  The cold took a little getting used to, but we coped well with it to produce some very good results.  Although, we lost overall, our U12's won every one of their races and all the pupils in every age group swam very strongly with many races very close indeed.

Each race had one boys and one girl in the same age group competing.  The relays consisted of 2 boys and 2 girls, while the canon relay has one boy and one girl of every age in the same race, one after the other - 10 swimmers in all!

U10 & U11 Gala vs Hawley Place

Thursday 13th May 2010

This meeting was a return match from the November meeting.

The competition was very close in a number of races and the standard of swimming was very high indeed.

The Eagle House U10's swam brilliantly, winning their match 39 - 25.

The Eagle House U11's demonstrated how much they had improved in their meeting with a number of fantastic performances, especially from Patrick Davies and Megan Wilkins in the Butterfly.  Although the U11's lost their match 25 - 39, their performances allowed us to draw the meeting on total points scored, 64 - 64.

A terrific result against a very strong swimming school.

Well done to you all.

I.A.P.S. Regional Swimming Meeting

@

Marlston House & Brockhurst School

Friday 26th February 2010

We took 30 children to the Marlston House/Brockhurst IAPS Regional event.  The placing's on the day were not as important as the times that our swimmers gained.  These times go to a central database and the fastest 16 approx in each race throughout the country go forward to the national Finals.

There were approximately 150 swimmers who attended the regional meeting and 61 races were swum. The whole event took 2 1/2 hours but was extremely well run by and our thanks go to Marlston House/Brockhurst and the staff and help for running the event so well.

A number of races were mixed with either different ages or sexes and sometimes both in one race. Remembering that it was the time that was important, our swimmers swam brilliantly and gave their all right to the end of the races.

U11, U12 & U13 Gala vs Yateley Manor & Daneshill

Thursday 12 November 2009

We competed against 4 teams in this gala, with Yateley Manor putting in an A and B team.  We took 24 children to the gala and all the children competed in 1 event each, either a race or a relay.  Eagle House finished 2nd out of the 4 teams and were only just ahead of Daneshill and the Yateley 'B' team.  Our position was extremely pleasing since we had the maximum amount of pupils swimming and our strength and depth is improving all the time.
