Eagle House Track Meeting
Thursday 15th May 2008
Years 4 - 8 boys and girls competed at our own 'Track meeting' and surpassed the performances of last week at Caldicott. The boys competed against Caldicott, Lambrook Haileybury, Ludgrove and Papplewick while the girls competed against Lambrook Haileybury. All the girls and boys performed superbly. In part, I am sure this is due to the excellent support they recieved from the side of the track from all the pupils and parents who braved the elements to watch and cheer!
Despite a lot of cloud and a little rain towards the end of the afternoon, the conditions were good and even the hurdles event went ahead! There were again many highlights and we are becoming spoilt by the exceptional performances of our pupils. The Eagle House boys won the boys event and the girls came a close second to Lambrook Haileybury. The girls have a further athletics meeting in a few weeks and then the regionals in London beckon for a number of the boys who have made the regional minimum standards.
Congratulations to all the Eagle House competitors and many thanks to the Eagle House staff and pupils who helped with the running of the afternoon.
