New Sports and Performing Arts Centre to begin in March 2012 The project has been given the green light and we preparing for the major build to begin next Spring. There are still opportunities to donate to the camapign so please think about helping us if you have not already done so.
Eagle House Ball 12th February 2011 Thank you to all those who supported the event and helped make it a superb evening.
The evening was a great success and the wonderful setting of Highclere helped make our ball extra special. You will see the Castle in all its glory by watching Downton Abbey on ITV.
L'Ortolan Restaurant 12th October 2010 We held another superb evening at this Michelin starred restaurant. A good number of us enjoyed some excellent cuisine and helped raise some funds for the Aiming High Campaign.
Sponsored Swim 7th July 2010 This was an amazing event - all pupils took part and helped raise money for the Aiming High Campaign. The final total will be announced at the beginning of the Michaelmas Term. Everyone gave of their best and a huge number of lengths were swum. Noah Walton and Georgina Walton swam a record 92 lengths in 40 minutes. Fantastic! Thank you to all who took part. The event also saw the official opening of the swimming pool after its refurbishment. It was opened by two of the oldest and two of the youngest pupils at Eagle House.
The Sports & Performing Arts Centre
An impression of the proposed new complex In 2009 we were given the opportunity to further improve the excellent facilities at the school. Through the construction of a new £2m Sports & Performing Arts Centre we will be able to enhance the learning experience for our boys and girls, while at the same time creating a state-of-the-art facility at the heart of Eagle House. This project will help us aim high to achieve our goal: to offer the very best Preparatory School experience. The project will provide a full size, multi-use sports hall, comprising indoor cricket nets and facilities for many sports including netball, basketball, badminton, gymnastics and indoor soccer. A dance and drama studio will form part of the centre as well as new changing rooms for the Prep School. A large foyer for exhibitions and receptions will open out onto a landscaped quadrangle that overlooks the chapel. Along with a substantial financial input from Eagle House we need your help and support in order to fund this exciting project. These are tough times economically and you are already investing in your child’s education but we would like to ask you to help us in aiming high in our desire to provide not simply a good, but an excellent all-round experience at Eagle House. We want to offer the very best to all our pupils and sport and performing arts are at the very core of our curriculum. We hope that you will support our bold aspiration so that we can continue to give Eagle House children the time of their lives. Throughout the coming months there will be several events to help raise funds for the project and we very much hope that you will be able to support these events. Aiming High in the Water! Sponsored Swim Wednesday 7th July 2010 This was a great success as the whole school took part in the sponsored swim - we are still awaiting the final total but everyone worked hard to swim for the new building.
L'Ortolan Restaurant Evening - 13th January 2010 Many thanks to all those who came to support our Aiming High Campaign at the L'Ortolan Restaurant in Shinfield. This Michelin Starred Restaurant was the perfect place to have an excellent evening's dining as well as making a contribution to the Campaign Fund. We hope to have another evening dinner later in the year. Once again a big thank you to all those parents who supported this event.
