Our pupils go out on plenty of trips throughout the year and our Year 8s have a full programme of events in June as they reach the end of their time at Eagle House.
The Tank Museum, Bovington, Dorset
We had a great day at this fascinating museum in Dorset. Bovington is still the home of the tank and the British Army has a huge training base here. The museum traces the history of the tank from the first models used in the First World War through to the present day. We were guided around the museum and were able to get inside an original Mark 1 WW1 tank. One of the pupil's parents, a colonel in the army, joined us and we were able to benefit from his knowledge of tanks as he gave a guided tour of some of the late 20th century vehicles. 8S at Wellington
8S were lucky enough to go up to Wellington to enjoy some activities laid on by the CCF. Here they are under wraps!

Paintballing at Hot Shots
After the Common Entrance exams were over Year 8s went paintballing to celebrate. It was a fun afternoon and strategies and marsmanship were the key to success. Oh yes, and not shouting too loud when hit by that paintball!

A stylish afternoon!
Whilst the boys were charging around in the woods the girls had the small matter of an athletics match. To make up for their hard work on the track (Eagle House won the athletics match) the girls had lunch out before the event and then went for some beauty pampering.

London - 9th June 2009
Our London Day has become a bit of a post CE tradition. Our day began with the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts and then down to St James' Park and the Cabinet War Rooms before a thrilling evening at the Woman in Black at the Fortune Theatre. We all had a great day, although there were one or two restless sleepers after our theatre visit!
