KidZone Kalypso

Monday in the KidZone, had a Myths and Legends theme.

And with everyone there, we made a fantastic team!

We could weave with paper, like that Greek girl, Arachne,

And make pretty envelopes for the Tooth Fairy.

Lanterns and pennants, fit for a king,

And Russian Firebirds with colourful wings.

There were lots of things for us to do and make,

And some of even had delicious carrot cake!

MONDAY in the KidZone ~ Myths and Legends

Mrs. Perry is an expert at making firebirds!

Armed with only a glue-stick, Sophia is ready for anything!

KidZone Kalypso

On Tuesday in the KidZone, we read tales from around the world.

Lots to things to do for every boy and girl.

Willow Pattern from China and a peacock to delight,

A kimono bookmark and brightly coloured kites.

Anansi the spider, who tricked everyone!

Lots of things to to and we all had fun!

So come along tomorrow and see what you can do,

Hannah Shaw, the illustrator, is here with us at 2.00!

                                                                    

    

                                        Tuesday in the KidZone ~ Tales From Afar

 

The birthday boy makes a Willow Pattern plate.

 

Mr. Perry helps the children to make paper plate peacocks.

 

Charlie and Mrs. Franklin get to grips with a kite bookmark!

 

George, Harry and Charlie show off their spiders!

KidZone Kalypso

On Wednesday in the KidZone, we made toys and puzzles too.

Different things to make and lots of things to do.

A Gruffalo mask or a Billy Goats Gruff,

An Elmer jumping jack and lots of other stuff!

A boat that only sails on the table top,

Lots of word searches and some dot-to-dots.

We also had a visit from the lovely Hannah Shaw,

She helped draw our characters, who could ask for more!

 

Wednesday in the KidZone ~ Toys and Games

Freddy and his Nan make a Billy Goats Gruff mask.

 

William shows his Dad which bits to colour in!

Mum reads the instructions to Fleuve.

 

Ollie explains to Dad just what he should do next!

Zein's Mum thinks his colouring is great!

 

Jonny 'The Gruffalo' watches Mum carefully.

KidZone Kalypso

On Thursday in the KidZone, we read Fairy Tales and Rhymes,

We made a lot of things and we had a good time.

We made a pinwheel for the red hen with a paper fastener join,

And a giant's money-bag for some chocolate coins.

A Fairy Godmother's wand and a man of gingerbread,

A little pig mask to go over your head.

The Barefoot Storyteller told us stories galore,

We all joined in, who could ask for more!

 

Thursday in the KidZone ~ Fairy Tales

 

Decorating Gingerbread Men

 

Amy and her Mum making a pinwheel.

Sam is happy with his giant's money-bag!

 

Look! I've made a wizard's wand!

We just love to read with a Dad!

 

I really like this book!

Joe makes a little pig mask.

but it still wouldn't come out!

KidZone Kalypso

On Friday in the KidZone, we dressed as our favourite books,

Cinderella, Robin Hood, Peter Pan and Captain Hook.

We drew maps for our treasure, and made little finger rats,

And we soon learned to fold a Robin Hood hat.

A looking glass for Alice before our very eyes!.

At the end of the day, a super magic show,

From the fab, the one and only, 'The Great Monino'!

 

Friday in the KidZone ~ The Classics

 

Kai and Alexander mark where the treasure is hidden!
