Eagle House, part of the Wellington College family, is a leading co-educational preparatory school, educating 360 boys and girls from 3 to 13, around 80 of whom are boarders.
Eagle House is offering a number of Continuation Junior Scholarships for boys and girls aged 11+ (born between 1 September 2000 and 31 August 2001). Scholarships are awarded for academic excellence, or musical excellence, or both. These awards are valued at up to 25% of the day pupil fees (which may be further enhanced through a means testing procedure, if a Scholar would not be able to take up a place because of financial hardship), continuing at 13+ at Wellington College, subject to satisfactory attainment (though scholarships, before means testing, are capped at 10% at Wellington College). A Junior Scholar is expected to sit and earn an award in the Wellington College Scholarship examinations for the continuation, or extension, of the award and enhancement. Application is only open to boys and girls attending maintained schools, or an independent school where the normal transfer is at 11+.
Eagle House also prepares children for entry to other senior independent schools and scholarships may also be awarded to candidates who are not seeking a 13+ place at Wellington College.
